Desserts worth obsessing over.

I became obsessed with making vegan desserts that tasted identical to the classic versions. Over time, that evolved into creating the ultra-indulgent cakes and dessert combinations I was not seeing anywhere online.

A lot of that inspiration came from the magic of build-your-own sundae bars, where more is more and the possibilities feel endless. I wanted to bring that same energy into cake: familiar flavors, generous layers, and recipes that feel exciting before the first slice is even cut.

While I test all of my recipes with non-dairy ingredients, I love creating desserts that can be made with what you already have on hand. The best desserts should be enjoyed by everyone.

Obsessed Cakes starts with nostalgia, but it does not stop there. I love desserts that feel familiar at first glance, then surprise you with a detail that makes them impossible to stop thinking about.

I’m after the kind of dessert people remember: soft loaves people keep slicing, layer cakes that feel worth the effort, and dessert combinations that make someone say they need the recipe before they have finished the first bite.

Every recipe is tested with non-dairy ingredients, but written to be flexible. Use what you have, make the dessert, and share it with the people who will appreciate it most.

Process

Where the ideas start.

Most recipes begin as a dessert I cannot quite let go of: something from a bakery case, a childhood favorite, or an over-the-top combination that sounds like it should already exist.

Sundaes are a big part of that thinking. I love the feeling of a dessert bar where every topping opens another possibility, and I try to bring that same sense of abundance into cakes, loaves, fillings, glazes, and crumb toppings.

If an idea feels a little outrageous, I usually take that as a good sign. The only rule is that it still has to taste like something people genuinely want to eat again.
